TITUSVILLE, Fla. (September 7, 2012)— Barn Light Electric has been nominated as a top finalist in Martha Stewart Living’s American-Made Awards. Starting with 2,000 nominees, Barn Light Electric pushed its way through the competition and has secured a spot into the Top 100. In this contest, Martha Stewart Living showcases selected companies with American-Made products and allows businesses to highlight their unique trades that were made right here, in the United States.
With the hopes of reviving a once flourishing art, Barn Light Electric has perfected their porcelain enamel lighting and vintage fixtures alongside the faces behind this growing company, Bryan & Donna Scott. Their creative genius has given Barn Light Electric the modern twist on this 1930’s lighting that appeal to all types of customers. Being fortunate enough to have found small-town success, Barn Light Electric has been able to utilize their accomplishments and expand from once a garage, to now multiple buildings in Titusville, Florida.
“We really have started from the ground up. Coming from a small garage in my backyard to what we have now, is just mind-boggling. I never understood the demand for porcelain enamel lighting until Barn Light Electric was started,” said Bryan Scott, co-founder of Barn Light Electric.
Knowing the rarity of American-made products, Martha Stewart Living took this opportunity to create a contest to showcase these special companies and Barn Light Electric was one of them.
“Bryan and I are so humbled to have been given this wonderful opportunity to showcase our company. Standing alongside so many other incredibly talented businesses and still being able to stand out is a great feeling,” said Donna Scott, co-founder of Barn Light Electric.
Now in search for the Audience Choice Award, Martha Stewart Living’s team can now leave it up to the voters for their number one pick. Not only will the winner receive a prize in monetary value and a feature story in Martha Stewart Living magazine, but they will also be honored at the American-Made Awards in New York City.
“I would have never thought Barn Light Electric could find such success, but we are so grateful it has, “said Donna Scott.
Fans will have the ability to vote until September 24 for their favorite American-Made business. Voting can be found at http://americanmade.marthastewart.com/finalists.
