Barn Light Electric Teams Up With National Architect & Designer

January 2011 - Teaming up with top architects and designers in the country, Barn Light Electric is excited to announce their partnership with the Vision House Orlando 2011.

The Vision House Orlando is part of a series that Green Builder Media is constructing in conjunction with Southern Traditions Development, Patricia Gaylor and Ed Binkley Design. This uniquely designed home, located in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando, Florida has been designed to respect traditional central Florida architecture, yet prides itself on incorporating essential sustainable designs and construction.

The Vision House series of homes, presents realistic and sustainable new housing ideas for everyday, American families. Not seen often with today’s economy, each Vision House provides real life, cost effective and sustainable solutions that fit with many household budgets.

Showcasing top of the line lighting in nearly every room, hallway, and exterior corridor, Barn Light Electric had the opportunity to work with these nationally recognized team to create a one of a kind showcase home. The exterior of The Vision House utilizes Goodrich™ Sky Chief and Outback Gooseneck Lights. Their red and galvanized finishes combine to coordinate with nearby hurricane shutters and modern touches found around the exterior. Placed in pairs above both the first and second floor outdoor balconies are Galvanized Metal Ceiling Fans. The galvanized finish compliments nearby corrugated metal placed on the architectural bump out as an industrial accent. Interior lighting can be found everywhere – from bedrooms and bathrooms, hallways, the kitchen, and even the laundry room. Keeping each light fixture as ‘green’ as possible, LED and CFL bulbs were placed within each interior and exterior light.
